The Brewster Theater Company is pleased to announce its second mainstage production of the 2015 season, ARSENIC AND OLD LACE, with performances running April 24 – 30 and May 1 – 2 at Bluestone Farm, 118 Federal Hill Road, Brewster. This production reunites Brewster High School class of 2010 alumni James Hussey and Rose Bisogno.

ARSENIC AND OLD LACE concerns the madcap antics of Martha and Abby Brewster, two delightful spinster sisters, who live in their father’s old house in Brooklyn. Their nephew Mortimer (played by Mr. Hussey) is about to wed Elaine (Ms. Bisogno), the girl-next-door. Mortimer is very fond of his aunts, and fonder still of Elaine and it seems that these domestic arrangements will lead to the inevitable happy conclusion. But when Mortimer makes a disturbing discovery, the path to a happy ending becomes anything but clear. This includes his brother, who thinks he’s Teddy Roosevelt; another mysterious brother, who looks like Boris Karloff; an eccentric German plastic surgeon named Dr. Einstein; elderberry wine; and twelve bodies buried in the basement.

Mr. Hussey graduated from the Hartt School in 2014 majoring in Theater Arts, and Ms. Bisogno is a recent graduate of NYU Steinhardt in Music and Performing Arts. Both were featured performers in Brewster High School Theater Arts productions before they graduated in 2010, as well as previous Brewster Theater Company shows.

Tickets for ARSENIC AND OLD LACE are $18 for adults, $15 for students/seniors.

A SPECIAL DINNER THEATER performance, catered by The Outlaw BBQ, is $40 – which includes dinner and the show on Saturday Apr 25, 2015. (Dinner Theater – Dinner at 6:30 – Show at 8:00). Tickets for the dinner theater must be purchased by April 19. Show only tickets are also available for this performance.
