Dr. Gupta is a board certified Orthopaedic surgeon with Orthopaedic Specialists of CT and will present a seminar with emphasis on hip and knee replacements titled, “Is Joint Replacement Right for You?” While these surgical procedures may have become somewhat routine, advances are being made to better the patient experience through innovations. Dr. Gupta is Co-Director for the Joint Replacement Program and attending physician at Danbury Hospital (Western Connecticut Health Network) with expertise in adult hip and knee surgery. Dr. Gupta’s special interests are in hip resurfacing and revision, minimally invasive joint replacement and arthroscopic surgery. Although he has performed thousands of successful traditional knee and hip replacements, Dr. Gupta is proud that Danbury Hospital recently became first to offer 3-D modeling robotic-assisted joint replacement surgery.
